The first “Lively Literati” of 2015 will be held on Thursday, January 29th at 6:30 p.m. at The Elephant Room, 2170 Broad Street in Cranston. Featured RI authors who will be reading from their most recent works include Rachael McIntosh (Bubbles Will Pop: Security Through Absurdity Book 2), Thom Ring (The Red Race Car), and Ray Wolf (Gramma Larson Remembers Elvis Presley.) Following the presentations, an open mic will be available to local poets, writers and storytellers to share samples of their work. The event will be hosted by Association of Rhode Island Authors President, Steven R. Porter. Join us! Admission is free.

Please join authors Maria Mutch, Sylvia Weber, Tory McCagg, and Kelly Kittel at 6:30pm on December 18th at The Elephant Room, 2170 Broad Street in Cranston, for December’s edition of “The Lively Literati.”  All attendees are invited to wear their favorite “Ugly Christmas Sweater.” The event will be hosted by monthly Providence Journal Op-Ed columnist Colleen Kelly Mellor.

Each author will be offering a  brief presentation of their work, followed by an open mic where audience members are welcome to share pieces of their own poetry, prose or other writing. Books from our featured authors will be available for purchase — just in time for holiday gift giving. Admission is free. Join us!
