JOHN GILLOOLY was a national award-winning sports writer/columnist at the Providence Journal for 50 years before retiring in the Fall of 2018. He is recipient of an Associated Press Sports Editors national awards for enterprising writing and a National Women’s Sports Foundation “Billie” media award, along with several regional journalism. He is the author of two books “”Pride On The Mount” (2004); “Friday Night Thunderbolts” (2022)
